Outdoor Activities

Embrace the wild side of Sooke with endless outdoor activities in stunning natural settings.

Sooke is a playground for outdoor enthusiasts, offering everything from hiking and kayaking to fishing and wildlife viewing. With its diverse landscape, there’s always an adventure waiting just outside your door, whether you’re a thrill-seeker or someone who prefers a peaceful connection with nature.

Cyclists are welcome in regional parks and trails on trails specifically designated for cycling as well as on roads and other bikeways. The Galloping Goose is the most popular and longest trail in the region.

Ready, Set, Go

Before heading out on your outdoor adventure, make sure to check weather conditions and be prepared for the rugged terrain. Fishing and hunting require proper permits, and it's important to respect local wildlife habitats, particularly marine areas that are protected.
